Thank Andy for recording this book on CD yourself. It was easy to capture the essence of the story that way. Being totally blind and choosing to have my work as a massage therapist be a ministry enabled me to see the importance of these seven crucial decisions.

Andy,
I am a husband, chiropractor (opened up a practice from scratch 2 years ago-Christ is continually blessing it) and professor at a local college. Treating patients all day then teaching at night can be tiresome many days. And just this week, my wife and I found out we are having our first child...Prasise GOD! Because of what we feel Christ is leading us to do, she will no longer work (full-time).
I picked up your book this weekend from my wife's cousin's house in KC.I was immediately drawn into the story. I read each page with anticipation to see the wisdom. I am a fairly upbeat person but wearing 2 or 3 hats (business owner, doctor, teacher)can be stressful at times. After reading the the 7 decisions in your book, I am motivated like never before. You have truly inspired me to not look behind and see what could have been but to look ahead to what is. The Traveler's Gift reminds me of a quote I was heard, "It matters little what is behind, it matters little what is ahead, it matters most what is inside."

Dear Andy,
I can't begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading your books! We were watching the movie "Gettysburg" when my uncle started talking about your book and Joshua Chamberlain. He gave me his book to read and I immediately bought myself a book and several others by you.
I made copies of the Seven Decisions and am working on studying them every day. Whenever I start feeling discouraged all I need to do is read those decisions again and I immediately start feeling better. Right now, next to the Bible, your works are my most important reads! Keep up the GREAT work and thank-you for changing my life.

I found this book as a result of seeing Mr. Andrews on PBS. It was at a very difficult time and it seemed as though the program was speaking directly to me. I went and bought The Traveler's Gift. The story is amazing. I would like to thank Mr. Andrews for giving me the "Second wind" I needed, when I needed it most.

Today is March 24th, 2006. I have just completed the book "The Traveler's Gift". It was very well written, a pleasure to read, and an inspiring book. I first saw you, on PBS about 10 days ago, while flipping through channels on the television. Something, (I'm not sure what) caught my attention and I began listening to you as you described the battles of Joshua Chamberlain.
To say the least, I could tell that you spoke from your heart. Your presentation as a speaker was probably the best I have ever witnessed. I told Cathy (my wife), that I had to have your program or book which was advertised on the television, but simply stated, I disagree with many things placed on public television, thus I have not chosen to be a supporter of their programming. So, I went out to Books A Million on Eisenhower Parkway in Macon, Georgia and purchased two of your books. As stated earlier, I just completed The Traveler's Gift, and I hope to be reading your other books.
My wife and I have had some financial difficulties of recent, and reading your book has renewed my hope for us. I will attempt to be mindful of my short comings and use the information presented in your book to overcome them.
Thank you very much for the way you presented the lessons, I am presently sharing your books with others as well.

I was amazed to find out that one mans decision to charge changed the course of our nation. I never realized the two most important words in any language are " I choose.."

Dear Andy,
I'd like to thank you.
God's been prodding me to make some changes and I've been asking for His help, especially with courage, strength of character, and endurance.
I was flipping through the TV channels last Sunday and was stopped cold by your special on the Seven decisions. Sure you were entertaining, and the subject was darn interesting, but I believe that your message was the answer to my prayer for strength of character; and you've given me a check list to learn from. By Monday night, I'd read The Traveler's Gift and started work on the first and fourth decision this month.
Thank you so much! You must realize that your hard work will change many, many lives.

The first time I read "The Traveler's Gift" was immediately after I heard Andy speak at our Family Reunion. Andy had inspired me before, but after he spoke he remained to autograph books and speak with us individually. The warmth and attention that he gave to each and everyone who had waited as long as and hour to meet him was so inspiring.
Recently I was in Dallas to attend to some business matters. I was not in a good place. I was even considering not returning home after my business was finished. I turned on the local PBS station and caught Andy's presentation on the seven decisions. Talk about timing. God provides us what we need, when we need it. I watched the entire program, enjoying Andy's presentation and being reminded of the power of the seven decisions we need to make.
After returning home, I picked up the book to restart my personal growth process. The inscription Andy wrote in my book hit me like a thunderbolt. "Persist" says the inscription. I am rereading the book and beginning the follow-up processes. This is a powerful book with powerful messages that we can all use over and over again, since we as humans tend to get away from the very things that make us successful or happy. It is helping me to get back to my powerful, happy self and will help me continue to grow as a person.
With all my heart, Thank You Andy!!

A few months ago we saw you on PBS. We were very encouraged at that time. A few days ago my husband, Dennis, was going through a difficult time. He took a drive to Huntsville and bought your book, The Traveler's Gift. It has been very uplifting to all of us.
Thank you for sharing your gifts with the rest of us.
Blessings to you.

The book blew me away!! I first saw Andy Andrews on a PBS television special early one Sunday morning. I was moved, so moved I got up and searched all over town for a copy of the book. Most of the bookstores were either closed or didn't have a copy on hand....nevertheless I persisted and finally got a copy that Sunday afternoon. I read the book in one sitting.
While the decisions are not particularly unique, there is something about the way Andy packages the truths in his fictional story. The message somehow becomes much more compelling. I have since bought around 20 copies and distributed them to friends and managers who work for the company I own. I am reading the book with my 17 year old son and encouraging him to use the truths contained in the book to seek greatness.
After completing the portion of the book concerning Harry Truman, I sent my son a note at school that simply read "Harry Truman..I love you, dad"...he relayed to me later that upon receiving the note he quietly chuckled to himself, gratified that he had been reminded that "the buck stops here". A GREAT book, timeless truths, written by a man who has wisdom beyond his years. BRAVO!!
