I had to read The Traveler's Gift for English class and I found the book really interesting. I like how I saw myself in needing each of the 7 decisions to have a better life. Good Job Andy

In January 2006, I made the difficult decision to leave a perfectly good job for all the right reasons. I received this book from a friend and printed the seven decisions and posted them on the wall next to my PC and reviewed them before every interview. This book makes a difference!

I caught Andy on one night while channel surfing to PBS. I was so struck by the story of asking his sons about checking their hearts that I went out and bought "The Traveler's Gift". I had just lost my job and was feeling very sad and afraid, as I had been in my chosen field for 32 years.

Imagine my shock when I read the first page-I was David Ponder!!! I never put it down and read the entire book in a matter of hours. I felt so grateful and at peace when I was done. I have recommended it to several people I know who are struggling, and many who aren't! Thank you for such a beautiful book.

I decided it was time I started reading again, I have been lazy about it. Luckily the first book I picked up at the book store was "The Traveler's Gift" I could not wait to pick it back up and see what was going to happen next. I have been telling my family and friends to read it. I heard of a man who lost his job in my state and hung himself the other day the first thing I thought was, I wish he could have read the book...

Dear Mr Andrews, After watching your program on public television, I knew I had to read this book. I rushed out and bought it immediately. I literally could not put it down. At one point I read for three straight hours. I must say that this book does a wonderful job of entertaining by using fiction, but does an even better job of teaching each decision. I will certainly put these decisions to work in my own life. I thank you for teaching people to reach their full potential in life.

A Traveler's Gift impacted my life in a very special way. I am an elementary teacher and have carried the goal that it is "together that we make a difference in the lives of the young learner." I wanted to teach children how to be successful and to not face their challenges with fear.

This book helped me to motivate and infect my students with the best attitudes they could possibly have. We gathered so many words of wisdom. At the end of the year, I gave the students a treasure box and said to them,"The real treasure is you." Everything in my life has changed for the better. I believe God used Andy Andrews in a mighty way to made a huge difference in my life.

I am a servant at heart and love sharing what I have learned. What a wonderful gift Andy has shared with us. This class really needed the best in me. I didn't know that one of my students was going to experience a death of a parent, another was evicted from his house, another was in foster care, another's mom was in prison, and so much more. I didn't want my students to feel dismayed and in order learn, I had to meet their individual needs in any way I could. This book gave me my focus. Thank you Andy for being open to receive lessons from personal challenges.

This book was given to me as a gift a couple of years ago by the man that you dedicated the book to, Robert D. Smith. Admitedly I didn't read it when he gave it to me but have just recently picked it up and read it. I feel sorrow for only just now reading it. But i also feel very revived because the book spoke right into my life right now and i will be able to actively apply it to my current life. I would personally like to Thank Mr. Robert D. Smith for bestowing to me this great gift. Thank you very much Robert this book has helped me a great deal.

I coach football at Earlham College and I was out recruiting this past winter. It had been raining the entire day and my attitude was not in the best place. During one of my stops, while I was talking about his players with a coach we were rudely interrupted by another man. He wanted to talk to the coach about a book he had read. When it came time for the title of the book the man could not remember the title.

I went on with my business with the football coach when, surprisingly, the man re-entered the school wet from head-to-toe. He had went out to his car only to return with the title of the book "The Traveler's Gift." I wrote the title on a scrap of paper and stuck it in my pocket.

Later that day one of my schools had canceled and I had two hours to kill. What better place than a bookstore. Browsing around I found a coaching biography (my favorite) and proceeded to the counter. While at the counter I remembered the the piece of paper and pulled it out of my pocket. The clerk searched on the computer and said they no longer had any copies. She continued to check me out at the registered and then out of the blue she indicated that she would check in the back and sure enough came out with their last copy of your book.

I read your book from cover to cover that evening. Had she not gone in the back I, most likely would have thrown that scrap piece of paper away and not given it another thought. Since that day, I proudly tell everyone I come in contact with about this life altering book. Thank you for your choices you have made and it does matter.

Dear Mr. Andrews, This was probably the most fascinating and phenomenal book ever written. I was also recently privy to see your 'Seven Decisions' DVD over the past few weeks at my work and what a tremendous message God has put on your soul. I think I cried from page 150 on, it seems like Mr. Ponder's life has a direct correlation to the things I've witnessed in my life. God does wonderful things, and more importantly puts things on your heart at certain times. I think there was no better time to read this book and take in the profound impact of its message. God bless you and your family, this book IS amazing and the world is better for the trials and tribulations you have gone through to send this message out to people like myself. Thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. For the past 6 years my husband and I have had to endure several soul shattering situations in our life. We are only in our 30's and we have lost both our fathers to different illnesses, several job layoffs, a bankruptcy and a foreclosure. We felt like the world was caving in on us this past month when we found out that yet again my husband was losing his job. One day when we were feeling very down we decided to go to the bookstore. We didn't have much money but I really wanted a book to take my mind off everything.

I saw your book "The Lost Choice" on a reduced rake and just decided that I would buy it. Needless to say it changed my life. I read it in one day! I was so excited I told my husband to read it and then to top it off I went out and bought "The Traveler's Gift" and "Island of Saints". It took me about 2-3 days to read them both. These are the most outstanding books I have ever read. They have given me as well as my family a whole new outlook on life.

My husband read them and both my teenager boys have read "The Young Traveler's Gift". It's funny that even though we are still in unemployment land, it's ok because we have a choice on our future and like your first decision says "I am responsible for my past. I will be responsible for my success." Thank you for writing these books. You are fulfilling your destiny by helping change people's lives for the better and giving them hope. God Bless!
